12th Scale Miniature – Water trough with tap
 
Dimensions 7cm wide x 4cm deep x 8cm high
Made from 3D printed resin, this 12th scale water trough with tap is very sweet and could be used as an outdoor water feature or filled with plants for a more botanical effect. It could also be used in a scullery. 
 
Painting tips
For a smooth finish, begin with a suitable primer before applying paint. Alcohol-based paints can create a lovely, fluid finish, while acrylics offer good coverage and a wide choice of colours. 
 
To create the Zinc finish it is incredibly easy and effective. You don't need paint! Take some liming wax (white wax) and bruch the wax unevenly over the model. It will instantly begin to look like zinc. To add more depth add a little back wax sparingly to the recesses and to add shadows and uneven texture. That's it! If you do not have wax then you can use acrylics but it will be a little harder to control the paint - ensure you create "cloud" like textures and not a solid colour. 
 
 
Materials and durability
3D printed in high-grade resin, carefully selected for its long-lasting durability. While some 3D printing resins may deteriorate over time, I use premium-quality resin chosen for its longevity, so you can enjoy your miniature for years to come.
